This was an epic, multi-generational family adventure. Ten people, four generations, and two RVs – is this an action/adventure, drama, horror, or comedy flick? Read on to find out!
The ten people on this trip were my family of four, my parents, my paternal grandmother, one of my brothers, my sister-in-law, and my sister-in-law’s mother. I don’t quite recall how we got started on the plan, but Dad always wanted to go to Alaska. He was an adolescent when Alaska became a state and as a Floridian Alaska is about the most exotic and different place you can think of. He has always been fascinated with Alaska and he passed his fascination on to his sons. In 2009 Mom and Dad had an Airstream trailer and we had a pop-up, so we were used to RV camping. We started talking about renting an RV in Alaska and before we knew it we had a party of ten, we reserved two RVs, and we had an itinerary for the trip of a lifetime!
