Wednesday, July 22, 2009 – Anchorage to Tampa
Our last day in Alaska had arrived. Could the trip really be over so soon? We packed up our stuff from our two-week homes on wheels and returned the RVs before the 9:00 am deadline. Despite the slide-out issues with Dad’s, they were great RVs and a perfect way to see Alaska. Our flight wasn’t until 7:30 PM, so we took taxis to the Alaska Native Heritage Center, which was a good way to spend the day. We got to the airport plenty early, flew overnight to Atlanta and got back to Tampa around 11:00 am on Thursday. The end of another fantastic family adventure. Where would we go next?
This wraps up the 2009 Alaska trip. Next up is our 2017 trip to Japan. I’m posting the introduction to that trip today. Stories and photos from that trip will be posted soon.
