Wow – it’s been over two years since my last blog post. This blog started as a “pandemic hobby” when the world was shut down and I had a lot of spare time on my hands at home. As life got mostly back to normal, the routines of work, work travel, and life in Milwaukee with concerts, festivals, and beer gardens returned. Then, I decided to change companies after 37 years and we decided to move to New Hampshire. New job, temporary house, new house, new town – life got pretty busy! Weeks turned into months which turned into over two years of not blogging. Among all the chaos, we took a few great trips during this time and I am going to try to get caught up on blogging about them.
So, when I changed jobs, I took a month off in between. The month flew by with prepping our place in Milwaukee for sale and a week scoping out New Hampshire. But we did manage to get away for a week in Ireland. Not only was it a week away in a stunningly beautiful place, but I was unemployed. No email to check, no meetings to be missed, no deliverables not being delivered. Just time for me and Chrissy to focus on each other and the time we were enjoying together. So, the next several posts will be about our August 2023 trip to the Emerald Isle. I hope you enjoy!
